Verfassung und Recht in Übersee/World Comparative Law

On July 4–5, 2024, the annual conference "Verfassung und Recht in Übersee/World Comparative Law" convened at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, bringing together renowned scholars from around the globe to explore pressing issues in constitutional and comparative law. Organized in collaboration with the University of Erfurt, the event provided a vibrant platform for intellectual exchange and the discussion of contemporary challenges in legal scholarship.

One of the highlights was the session “(More-than-)Human Rights and Audiovisual Interventions”, which featured presentations by Luis Eslava (La Trobe University), Cecilia Oliveira (RIFS Potsdam), and Jenny García Ruales (University of Erfurt) with the project Amazon of Rights. The session underscored the intersection of Rights of Nature, environmental justice, and innovative audiovisual methodologies in legal and ecological narratives.
