Vila Brasil, Santarém, Pará – From Friday (23) to Sunday (25), the community of Vila Brazil on the Arapiuns River hosted the Pre-COP30 Youth Summit, an urgent gathering themed "The COP of Forest Youths, Territorializing the People's Summit." With the powerful motto, "In the territory of the youth, climate justice is good living," the event underscored the critical role of local communities in global climate discussions.

Organized by the Guardiões do Bem Viver and the Feagle Federation, the Peoples’ Summit aimed to amplify the voices of youth, women, Indigenous peoples, quilombolas, and traditional communities often marginalized in official climate dialogues. Over 500 participants engaged in thematic tents, sharing experiences and crafting a political document to be presented at COP30, demanding more effective and inclusive climate action from world leaders. As Marlon Rebelo, president of the Pre-COP30, stated, this initiative ensures that "the voices of these populations, often silenced, are heard."

Our Team covered the main event, and now is going upwards the Arapiuns River to develop the stories about the Arapiuns river struggle to become a subject of rights.
